Ice Fishing

Ice fishing is allowed at all of our County Parks with lake or river access. Williams County nor ND Game & Fish monitor ice thickness. Please make sure you check the ice thickness before setting up! Ice depth conditions can also change quickly, so always use caution on the ice.

Vehicles and ice houses are allowed on the ice at McGregor Dam, Blacktail Dam, Kota Ray Dam, and Epping/Springbrook Dam. There is now ice fishing access available at Little Egypt; the gate is located on the east end of the parking lot. You may drive onto the ice, but please proceed directly to the ice and do not stop or park on the beach.

A North Dakota fishing license is required for all anglers. Unoccupied ice houses on the ice MUST follow all ND Game & Fish regulations and be removed by March 15, 2024.
