Construction at Kota Ray Dam will begin the summer of 2024! The park will be closed to all visitors beginning at 3 pm on Sunday, June 16 and will remain closed until further notice as we make improvements at the park. For more information, please visit the Master Parks Plan webpage.


The park at Kota Ray Dam is located about 10 miles south of Ray and offers fishing, camping, boating and more.

Motorized and non-motorized watercraft are allowed, but the lake is NO WAKE.

Make a Campsite Reservation

At this time, online reservations will not be available for Kota Ray Dam due to anticipated construction and improvements to be made to the park this summer. Visitors should be aware that Kota Ray Dam may be closed entirely for periods of time depending on the construction schedule. While the park is open, campsites will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.


Cash or check are accepted onsite at the campground (please visit the pay station) for both electric and primitive campsites.

Primitive Campsites: $10/night
Primitive camping is allowed anywhere on park land, but campfires are only allowed in fire rings.

Electric Campsites: $15/night
There are 19 campsites with electrical hookups (20/30/50 amp).
