City Measure No. 1

The cities of Epping (Precinct 62), Grenora (Precinct 67), Ray (Precinct 63), Tioga (Precinct 64), Wildrose (Precinct 65), and Williston (Precincts 13, 21, 23, 31, 33, 41, 43, and 51) will have the following measure on the ballot as Measure No. 1:

According to state law, once every four years each city must place on its ballot the question of whether or not the minutes of the governing body shall be published in its official city newspaper. If approved, the minutes must be published until disapproved by the voters at a succeeding election.

City of Williston Measure No. 2

MOSQUITO CONTROL CHARGE; CONTINUATION OF $4.00 PER MONTH PER OCCUPIED UNIT

Shall the City of Williston continue to be authorized to charge four dollars ($4.00) per month per occupied unit on the water bill for the mosquito control effort, to sunset after June 2028.

Williams County Measure No. 1

Shall the Williams County Board of County Commissioners be authorized to extend the current one percent (1.00%) sales and use tax being imposed throughout Williams County for ten (10) years beginning April 1st, 2025 to be dedicated as follows:

  • Public safety (supplemental funding to public safety departments and agencies)
  • Sports, recreation and community facilities
  • Behavioral and rural health programs and facilities
  • Capital improvements to enhance social and economic vitality in Williams County

Such sales and use tax revenues may be pledged to the payment of bonds issued for such purposes in anticipation of the collection and receipt of such sales and use tax, and if so pledged, the sales and use tax may not be repealed so long as any such bonds or bonds refunding the bonds are outstanding.

  • Initiated Measure 1: Adds a new article to the North Dakota Constitution related to congressional candidate age limits

General Election (November 5, 2024) Ballot

  • Constitutional Measure 1 - SCR 4001: Amends and reenacts sections 12 and 13 of article IX of the Constitution of North Dakota, relating to terminology describing public institutions
  • Constitutional Measure 2 - SCR 4013: Amends and reenacts sections 2, 3, 4, and 9 of article III of the Constitution of North Dakota, relating to the process for approving initiated constitutional amendments, the requirement of a single subject for each petition and measure, the individuals able to circulate a petition, and the requirement that all ballot measures must be voted on at the primary and general election
  • Constitutional Measure 3 - HCR3033: Amends and reenacts section 26 of article X of the Constitution of North Dakota, related to spending and transfers from the legacy fund
