Available Offices
For the 2024 elections, Williams County has the following non-partisan elected offices open:

Both offices will be on the ballot for both the Primary Election (June 11, 2024) and the General Election (November 5, 2024).
Eligibility
To be eligible to run for a county office, you must be, at the time of election, a qualified elector in Williams County.
County commissioners must be qualified voters residing in the district where the officer is chosen prior to taking office. Click here for a map of the districts.
Timeline
January 2, 2024: Petitions can begin circulating
April 8, 2024 at 4 pm CT: Last day to file a petition or nomination for office
Required Forms
A packet of information, including a copy of these forms, can be also be obtained from the Auditor's Office.
Candidacy Forms
Each candidate must file the following forms:
- Petition/Certificate of Nomination (SFN 2704)
- Contact the Auditor's Office for the required number of signatures
- Affidavit of Candidacy (SFN 2703)
- Statement of Interests (SFN 10172)
Please contact the Auditor's Office for paper copies of the forms or if you need assistance completing them. Candidacy Forms must be submitted in person to the Auditor's Office by 4 pm on April 8, 2024.
