To help reduce the impact of hazards across our communities, Williams County maintains a Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan that is updated every five years. Mitigation actions can be implemented before, during or after an event. Having a long-term plan in place increases the effectiveness of the mitigation efforts and also makes Williams County eligible for Hazard Mitigation funding from the state and federal governments.
