Williams County Parks reopens Kota Ray Dam
WILLISTON, N.D., (June 6, 2025) – Construction has completed at Kota Ray Dam. As of Friday, June 6, 2025, the park is now open for day use. Camping and camping reservations will be allowed beginning Monday, June 9. The online reservation system will open at 8:30 am for campsite reservations through October 31. The public is asked to follow on-site signage for navigation of the new roadway and campsite layout.
Kota Ray Dam has been closed for park improvements since 2024. New park features include a youth pedal park, reconfigured campsites, and modern comfort stations. The revamped park also boasts a new lakeside lawn-chair amphitheater that will host events later this summer; the first Parks Department concert will be on July 19 with the Squid City Slingers.
