Public asked to avoid Pilot gas station area at 13 Mile Corner; law enforcement present
Update 8/25 at 11:30 am to provide situational information: In the morning hours of Friday, August 25, law enforcement agencies responded to a 911 call in which the caller stated that the Pilot gas station was in disarray and that there were no employees in the store. Upon investigation, it was discovered that the business is closing its doors indefinitely and the store had not been secured properly when employees left the night before. The Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating to detemine whether or not anything has been stolen from the store. Law enforcement has vacated the scene; the investigation remains active.

WILLISTON, N.D. (August 25, 2023): The Williams County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to avoid the Pilot gas station area at 13 Mile Corner until further notice due to an ongoing investigation and significant law enforcement presence. The Pilot gas station is closed until further notice. No other information is being released at this time.
