Funding for the RSAP comes from a grant through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Safe Streets and Roads 4 All (SS4A) Grant Program. The SS4A program looks to support local, regional, and tribal initiatives for preventing roadway fatalities and serious injuries. The RSAP is guided by an extensive literature review of transportation safety policies and plans at the local, state, and federal levels. These documents will help establish goals, objectives, and recommended actions to align with best practices in transportation safety planning. A draft action plan is expected to be completed by the end of July 2025, with final adoption by the end of January 2026.
