Williams County Sheriff’s Office Conducts Sex Offender Compliance Check
WILLISTON, N.D. (June 18, 2025): The Williams County Sheriff’s Office recently completed a Sex Offender compliance check. Compliance checks are conducted to ensure that sex offenders living and working in Williams County are meeting the requirements of their registration, as defined by ND Century Code, and that the information in their registry record is correct.
The Sheriff’s Office completed 27 compliance checks, of which 24 offenders were found to be in-compliance, one individual was not in compliance, and two individuals no longer reside in Williams County.
Of the 27 sex offenders that were checked for compliance, 14 are low risk offenders, seven are moderate risk, two are high-risk, and four currently have an undetermined risk level that is still under review.
For non-compliant offenders, charges will be requested from the Williams County State’s Attorney’s Office.
