NOTICE ground and aerial treatment

9/9/25

The Williams County Vector Control District (WCVCD) will be conducting both ground and aerial adulticide treatments between September 9 and September 14, 2025. Weather permitting, treatments will occur after sunset.

The WCVCD is planning ground adulticide applications across Ray and Trenton using DeltaGard, which has the active ingredient Deltamethrin. Separately, planned aerial sprays will target Grenora and Williston’s Spray Block 8 with Imperium. Imperium also has an active ingredient of Deltamethrin.

Find specifics on Spray Blocks here at https://arcg.is/08S8mC.

Both Imperium and DeltaGard are approved for residential use by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Residents are reminded to maintain a distance of at least 300 feet from Vector Control trucks during fogging operations. To avoid mosquito bites, residents are also encouraged to take precautions when spending time outdoors between dusk and dawn such as

  • Wearing long sleeve tight knit shirts and long pants
  • Limiting time outdoors between dusk and dawn
  • Using a mosquito repellent such as DEET, Picardin, or oil of lemon eucalyptus
  • Eliminating standing water on your property
