The Williams County Vector Control District (WCVCD) will be conducting both ground and aerial adulticide treatments between August 12 and August 13, 2025.
The WCVCD is planning ground adulticide applications across Grenora, Ray, Williston’s Block 8 and in South Williams County (west of Lake Jessie). In Ray and Grenora, WCVCD will be using Zenivex, which has the active ingredient Etofenprox. Ground treatments in Block 8 and in South Williams County will be conducted with Deltagard, which contains the active ingredient Deltamethrin.

The planned aerial sprays will be targeting the Cities of Williston and Trenton with Imperium. Imperium also has an active ingredient of Deltamethrin.
Weather permitting, treatments will occur near sunset.
Imperium, Zenivex and DeltaGard are all approved for residential use by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Residents are reminded to maintain a distance of at least 300 feet from Vector Control trucks during fogging operations. To avoid mosquito bites, residents are also encouraged to take precautions when spending time outdoors between dusk and dawn such as
- Wearing long sleeve tight knit shirts and long pants
- Limiting time outdoors between dusk and dawn
- Using a mosquito repellent such as DEET, Picardin, or oil of lemon eucalyptus
- Eliminating standing water on your property
