The Williams County Vector Control District (WCVCD) is planning to conduct ground spray adulticide treatments across several cities this week between Tuesday, August 19 and Sunday, August 24, 2025.
WCVCD will be conducting these applications across Grenora, Ray, Williston and Trenton using Zenivex and DeltaGard products. Weather permitting, all treatments will occur after sunset.
Zenivex has Etofenprox as an active ingredient; DeltaGard has Deltamethrin as an active ingredient. Both products are approved for residential use by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Residents are reminded to maintain a distance of at least 300 feet from Vector Control trucks during fogging operations.
To avoid mosquito bites, residents are also encouraged to take precautions when spending time outdoors between dusk and dawn such as:
- Wearing long sleeve tight knit shirts and long pants
- Limiting time outdoors between dusk and dawn
- Using a mosquito repellent such as DEET, Picardin, or oil of lemon eucalyptus
- Eliminating standing water on your property
