The Williams County Vector Control District (WCVCD) plans to conduct ground ULV mosquito control treatments in both Ray and Grenora after sunset on Friday evening (8/15/2025), weather permitting.
For these missions, WCVCD will use Deltagard which has an active ingredient Deltamethrin. This product is approved for residential mosquito control by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Residents are asked to maintain at least 300 feet of distance from Vector Control trucks while they are fogging.
To avoid mosquito bites, residents are encouraged to take precautions when spending time outdoors between dusk and dawn.
- Wear long sleeve tight knit shirts and long pants
- Limit time outdoors between dusk and dawn
- Use a mosquito repellent such as DEET, Picardin, or oil of lemon eucalyptus
- Eliminating standing water on your property
