The Estimated Tax Statements for the 2023 Tax Year have been mailed. Required by Century Code, estimated tax statements provide an approximate look at what property taxes will be for that year. Taxing Districts are still finalizing their budgets and final budgets are used to calculate the annual tax bill, which is mailed out in December of each year. If you did not receive your estimated tax statement, please contact the Treasurer’s Office.
Any taxing district that levies more than $100,000 must hold a public budget hearing. Citizens are able to provide oral or written comments regarding the district’s budget at or before the hearing. A copy of the district’s budget will be available at the district’s normal place of business at least 7 days prior to the hearing. Hearings only pertain to budgets, not property values.
