All offices will be on the ballot for both the Primary Election (June 14, 2022) and the General Election (November 8, 2022).
Eligibility
To be eligible to run for a county office, you must be, at the time of election, a qualified elector in Williams County.
County commissioners must be qualified voters residing in the district where the officer is chosen prior to taking office. Click here for a map of the districts.
Timeline
January 1, 2022: Petitions for signature can begin to be circulated
January 3, 2022: Petitions, nominations, and Certificates of Endorsement for office can begin to be filed with the Auditor's Office
April 11, 2022 @ 4 pm CT: Last day to file a petition or nomination for office
Required Forms
A packet of information, including a copy of these forms, can be also be obtained from the Auditor's Office.
Candidacy Forms
Each candidate must file the following forms:
- Petition/Certificate of Nomination (SFN 2704)
- Contact the Auditor's Office for the required number of signatures
- Affidavit of Candidacy (SFN 2703)
- Statement of Interests (SFN 10172)
- Oath of Office (SFN 11501)
Please contact the Auditor's Office for paper copies of the forms or if you need assistance completing them. Completed forms must be filed with the Auditor's Office no later than 4 pm CT on April 11, 2022.
