The Williams County Veterans Service Office (VSO) provides support and information to Veterans and their families. Visit the VSO for assistance with:
  • Veterans Administration Healthcare Enrollment
  • Veterans Administration Compensation
  • Veterans Administration Pension
  • Discharge Papers
  • Death Benefits
  • Surviving Spouse Benefits
  • State Veterans Benefits

Making an Appointment

Making an appointment to see the Veterans Service Officer is encouraged. Appointments can be made by emailing vso@co.williams.nd.us or calling 701-577-4550.
Certain types of appointments require specific documentation to get started. When coming for one of the following types of appointments, please be sure to bring the following documentation:
  • Healthcare Enrollment
    • Completed DD214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty) 
    • Tax return(s) from the previous year 
  • Filing a Claim for VA Service Connected Disability
    • Completed DD214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty) 
    • Service treatment records (if you have them)
    • Any current treatment records 
    • Marriage license (if applicable) 
    • Social Security numbers for dependents 
  • VA Pension 
    • A pre-determination appointment is required to discuss the law and rules of VA pension
