The Water Resource Board handles certain drainage issues and complaints; reviews and approves storm water management plans (SWMP) for Williams County and oversees regulatory water usage. The Board also supervises, controls, and manages lease sites at Little Beaver Bay Recreation Area, Whitetail Bay (Lund's Landing), Thompson's Landing, Trenton Lake Recreation Area, Confluence Recreation Area, Pumphouse Fishing Area, Lewis & Clark Bridge Boat Ramp, Cut Bluff Historic Site, Kettle Lake, and Ryder Point Recreation Area.

The statutory powers of the water resource board are set forth in North Dakota Century Code Chapter 61-16.1 and include generally the local management, conservation, protection, development, and control of water resources and for the prevention of flood damage in the watersheds of this State;  and carry out to the maximum extent possible the water management policy that upstream landowners and districts that have artificially altered the hydrologic scheme must share with downstream landowners the responsibility of providing for proper management and control of surface waters.

Little Beaver Bay Recreation Area
  • Seasonal Sites name submission will be from January 1, 2019 - March 1, 2019. Seasonal Sites for 2019 will require a deposit of $250.00 required to be put on the list.  If you are chosen for a site the money will be retained as part of the lease payment, if you are not chosen for a site the money will be refunded.  If you are drawn for a site and refuse the site the deposit will be retained by the Water Board.
  • Upon submission you will be able to request the north or south campground
  • Seasonal sites available May 15 - September/October 15
  • $1000 lease fee ($250 Application deposit included, refundable if not drawn)
  • 26 sites available
  • Amenities: Camping space, electricity, dump station, fishing cleaning station, water on premises
  • Drawing will be Held March 12, 2019
