The goal of this program is to improve the treatment of victims and witnesses of crime by providing them with the assistance necessary to speed their recovery from a criminal act and to support and aid them as they move through the criminal justice process.

Services Provided Include:

• General information about the criminal justice system.
• Notification of court hearings and cancellation of hearings.
• Information services relative to the availability of restitution, crime victims compensation, and witness fees.
• Orientation to the courtroom.
• Transportation and accompaniment to court, if necessary.
• Employer intercession.
• Information on protection available.
• Referrals to public &/or private helping agencies.
• Assistance in filing Crime Victims Compensation application
